Company: BorderWare
BorderWare Technologies Inc.™ provides best-in-class security products for transmission of data over email and the web.  They are a key player in the Canadian market, providing protection for telecommunications giant TELUS, securing the organization’s network and their five million customers against inbound threats.

Business Issue
The business landscape has significantly changed over the last decade and BorderWare’s brand and communications had not evolved at the same pace. The message was unclear and there was little product differentiation in the marketplace.

There were also drastic changes made to the engineering of the product. A new consolidated platform for IM, Web and Email gave BorderWare a competitive advantage, as well as a clear new message they needed to communicate.

Brand Response
Option B Creative began with a brand audit, to determine the state of understanding and whether the company’s communication accurately reflected the company and its offering. We interviewed key stakeholders, reviewed all communications elements and determined that a lack of consistency was negatively impacting their business.

It was clear that there was a need to solidify the corporate message and to create marketing programs to increase awareness of BordeWare. Option B Creative created a new corporate identity with a refreshing colour palette, and followed with a complete overhaul of the look, with new sales tools, collateral templates, tradeshow booths, direct mail and a website. To ensure consistency, we developed a standards guide so that the brand can be maintained going forward.
